Description
The ABB IMDSM05 conditions, converts and processes pulse inputs from field equipment to digital signals for use by the Multi-Function Controller or Multi-Function Processor.
Each of the eight inputs can be set to work in one of three modes: Totalization, Frequency or Period.
Only twenty of these modules may be attached to one Multi-Function Controller or Multi-Function Processor because of high power consumption.
Pulse input slave is able to determine the count, frequency, or period of pulse or sine wave inputs so that the information may be utilized by the MFCs.
The DSM04 has 8 input channels and each channel is able to respond to either 4 to 6 VDC or 21.
6 to 27 VDC.
The input can be triggered on either the rising or falling edge of the signal.
In addition, channels 1 and 2 may be routed through preamplifiers so they can respond to inputs from 50 mV(p-p) to 10 V(p-p).
